I usually feel odd about overly ornate and expensive religious artworks...but I was reminded once (probably while watching PBS), that the Temple is supposed to remind one of heaven, or be a vision of what awaits you in heaven, or imparts the feeling of heaven.
I think the artists here did a good job....that is all I can say because words are leaving me...I feel like I am leaving my body when I look at the vertical picture of the entire piece.
